Canazei, with its 1.465 m. above the sea-level, is the higher village
in Fassa Valley. At the foot of the beautiful scenaries of Marmolada,
Gran Vernel, Sass Pordoi and Sella there live no more than 1800 people,
all of them more or less engaged with the principle local economic
activity: turism.
Yet its history tells of pastures and agricolture.
Nowadays there are few nostalgics still farming and living slowly,
following the rhytm of the seasons, just like in the past.
Some days in Canazei offer lots of different amusements, from a relaxing
walk in an incontaminated green nature, to a real thrilling downhill.
It’s really nice to slide down snow tracks, so much loved by
ski and snowboard fans for their perfect tecnical preparation. There
are modern lifts connected to the Sellaronda circuit "Dolomiti
Superski", well known and appreciated all over the world. By
day a full immersion in sports, in a free flight in the blue surrounded
by evocative scenaries or in a suggestive mountain climbing. But
there is a lot also for people with foot on earth. What about one
of the many nice trekking course? And for hard working fans, let’s
push with energy on cross-country ski throughout woods and fields.
And by night...Air becomes hot and and phantasy is free to enjoy
entertainments, après ski and disco pubs.
Boredom is not allowed,
